From BENU's Pixie Collection comes the Jolly Roger series, a pen that channels the spirit of seafaring adventure and classic craftsmanship. Crafted in deep black resin, the Jolly Roger fountain pen is crowned with a sculpted skull emblem on the cap, a striking nod to seafaring lore. Its body features an intricate, micro-etched pattern that calls to mind charred earth and parched riverbeds, capturing the silent mysteries of forgotten pirate tales in every detail.

Each pen in the Jolly Roger Vintage set is finished with a handapplied patina imitation, creating a distinctive timeworn aesthetic. Noticeable variations in tone and texture are part of the design, enhancing the aged, well-worn appearance.

To achieve this effect, we used an Giudaic Bitumen solution traditionally applied by masters in painting and decorative arts to create an aged, patinated look. The solution consists of natural resins and oils and is safe to use, though it may carry a faint, characteristic scent similar to bitumen, which will dissipate over time.

This fountain pen features a high-quality, German-made stainless steel #5 nib and comes with a short international standard ink cartridge.

Please note that due to the pen's miniature size it CANNOT be used with a standard size converter, only with mini converters that are no longer than 4.0cm. You can also convert it to eyedropper fill.

Please bear in mind that the photo may slightly differ from the actual item in terms of colour due to the lighting during photo shooting or the monitor's display. Moreover, each of these unique pens are hand painted. This means each pen slightly differs in art work, and as such is one-of-a-kind.

Preorder Information

Currently, we are placing orders monthly with BENU whilst we grow our business and stock levels.

Orders will be placed on, or around, the 15th of each month and will be shipped to you as soon as possible after your BENU items have arrived and been checked. Please ensure you place your BENU order with us before 5pm AEST on the 14th of each month to ensure your order will be submitted on the 15th.

Please allow up to 4 weeks from the 15th before contacting us to follow up on your order status.

If you order any other items with your BENU order, we will post these together. Please try to order your BENU items separately to any other item to ensure you receive all your items as soon as practicable unless you are happy to wait for them to all be posted out together. We will not split orders that contain PREORDER and other items.
