About Us

Hi there!

We are husband and wife team, Craig and Melissa. I turn my original illustrations into stationery, gifts and journaling products. Craig adds his own touch through designing and printing 3D printed products. We're based right here in Brisbane and ship to journaling and stationery lovers across Australia. The Ellipses Collection began in May 2025, and whether you find us at a Brisbane market or discover us online from anywhere in the country, we're so glad you're here.

Growing up, I was always creative. I played classical guitar, sang, wrote poetry, built furniture from wood and metal, dabbled in technical drawing, and spent hours sitting in front of our aviaries drawing our birds. My Christmas list always had stationery on it, and I kept myself busy with more art supplies and hobbies than I could count, on top of playing sport!

I also operate another business offering accounting and taxation services for businesses, and I've worked in that industry since 2001. One of my goals for The Ellipses Collection is for it to allow me to follow my creative pursuits full-time. This does also include offering business support to artists and business networking.

In 2024, my mum passed away at just 65. Without going into detail, it taught me that life is for living now, not something to wait for until retirement. All she ever wanted for me was to find my own peace and happiness.

Carrying that with me, I started making more time for my hobbies again and found so much joy in the little things. That's exactly what The Ellipses Collection is about: sharing joy through the little things.

Together, we bring you a growing range of stationery, gifts and journaling products for Brisbane locals and stationery lovers right across Australia. My original illustrations become notepads, stickers, magnetic bookmarks, pens and more, while I also sew pouches from upcycled dress fabric, with plans to bring my own illustrations to printed fabric pouches down the track. Craig adds his own touch through designing and printing 3D printed products, all done at home by him. We also curate a range from other independent Australian artists, so there's always something new to discover.

You'll find us in person at Brisbane markets throughout the year, as well as in select stockists, so if you're local, there's a good chance you can see and touch our stationery, gifts and journaling items before you buy.
